Great Things for Greater People
AVisPar 1.5 Coming Soon
The AVisPar Visual Package is coming back soon, remixed and made better for bigger things. Head Programmer Kudzai Sadomba said the new software will be much lighter than the original package and will have fewer programs but with the specialisation which has been expected from the original software. AVisPar 1.5 will headline with a new version of Creator 3D Builder called Creator 3D Lite which will merge Creator 3D Builder with CellInserter (thus a 3D modelling software which can be used for both animating and creating games. Mr. Sadomba also said the feature list of the package will remain the same but will also add on a few new features which will be released soon.
The Award Winning AVisPar has also re-recruited former placement student and soon to be graduating Electronic Engineer Crymore Khupe to work on the hardware side of the Visual Package with a promising new camera rig which has been dubbed the "SM Camera System". Mr. Khupe said the prototype of the new rig will be revealed by mid-November and then presented at the end of the month along with the beta version of AVisPar.
Managing Director of SM Computers and also an AVisPar programmer, Mr. Kurai Chikwangwani says the company will soon search for interested testers for the alpha and beta trials of the software before its release which may be end of this year or beginning of next year. Mr. Chikwangwani also highlighted that the new version of AVisPar will have far more reaching commercial applications and will be widely more available starting with grassroots (students) and branching into industry. He added that a stand-alone website for the software is being worked on and will also be live in the coming weeks.
AVisPar was Runner's Up for the country's first Bar Camp Start Up Challenge and Sadomba-Mahari Computers seems to be the only remaining StartUp from the finalists of the competition, still developing their product.
